JVC Digital Video Camera Question
Russell - 6th Feb 2005 7:02
I have a JVC GR-DX77U which is less than a year old, I recently added digital memory to the camera, and now it auto zooms to the highest zoom and will not stay off the zoom. How can I fix this.

I am having that same problem with my JVC GRDX77. We don't appear to be the only two either. I've found probably 3 other on-line posts by different people with similar claims. Have you found any solutions?

I've just come across this forum afer exeriencing the problem with my JVC zooming in with a mind of it's own. I have to keep the zoom pressed just to take any normal video. Did any of you guys manage to get any luck with solving this problem?? And yes, my warranty has just expired!!

Unbelievably, after having this problem for weeks and only just asking for help on the web, I've solved it!!
By pure fluke, pulling out the viewfinder/eyepiece corrected the problem. I guess there was something pushing up against the zoom control. The problem has now gone completely!!!

Wendy - 12th Dec 2007 16:09 Hi. I was also having the problem with the zoom. I tried your solution and it appears to have fixed the problem. Of course I only tried it for about 5 minutes so I don't know if it will be a long term fix. Hopefully it will. Thanks! I was so upset that it was doing this I was ready to scream. Thanks for your help!
