lynn - 5th Feb 2005 19:38 We have VCR/DVD player HR-XVC25U. The DVD is not working. We have always had a problem the the player stopping randomly. Now it will not work at all. We clean the DVD regularly. We now that the problem is not the disc because it works on our other DVD player. Please help as this is a problem and not a good representative of JVC products.

neil - 5th Feb 2005 20:45 I am not getting an image from the lens on the viewfinder or eyepiece on my GR-DV500U. I have gone through the menu several times trying to correct the problem. The playback of a tape works fine. Just nothing through the lens. I have read the troubleshooting section of the manual and found nothing to cover this problem. When I initially turn on the camera, it indicates that the lens cover is on, but I have removed it and still no picture. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have a brand new DR-MV1S that gives a disc error message after reading a DVD-RW disk. It will not format as per the directions in the manual. They are brand new Memorex DVD-RW's. Thanks for your help

I purchased the same model two years ago and it has operated in any capacity for less than one hour total. Now the DVD reads "loading" constantly and, after a call to JVC support, the DVD will not come out. I am shipping it to JVC service and will probably get a whacking big bill and a device that will not do everything it was supposed to do. I will probably give it away, if it is returned marginally operational. I am through with "do everything" devices in general and JVC in particular.

Russell - 6th Feb 2005 7:02 I have a JVC GR-DX77U which is less than a year old, I recently added digital memory to the camera, and now it auto zooms to the highest zoom and will not stay off the zoom. How can I fix this.

I am having that same problem with my JVC GRDX77. We don't appear to be the only two either. I've found probably 3 other on-line posts by different people with similar claims. Have you found any solutions?

I've just come across this forum afer exeriencing the problem with my JVC zooming in with a mind of it's own. I have to keep the zoom pressed just to take any normal video.
Did any of you guys manage to get any luck with solving this problem??
And yes, my warranty has just expired!!

Unbelievably, after having this problem for weeks and only just asking for help on the web, I've solved it!!
By pure fluke, pulling out the viewfinder/eyepiece corrected the problem. I guess there was something pushing up against the zoom control. The problem has now gone completely!!!
