Re: JVC service or questions

My camcorder model sxm250u appears to recording fine but when I attempt to view the recording its completely scrambled. I tried different vcrs' and Ive tried different video tapes. Is there a setting that I may have changed or maybe one I should change?

  If this message is not to late,the problem you are having is probably that you have your camcorder tape setting on "S-VHS". A standard "VHS" vcr will not play S-VHS tapes. You need to change the setting on your camcorder to "VHS" instead of "S-VHS" or SVHS-ET". Otherwise you will need a "S-VHS" vcr. Hope this helps.
