Hi we have a Panasonic Home Theatre System. Model NO. SC-HT650. Error code F61 is coming up. I can't even get a DVD out that I really need. Is there any thing I can do to get those out, or fix the problem myself??\
Thanks

I have a Panasonic SA-HT67. I am getting the same error on my display. When it forst happened I unplugged my system for about a minute then plugged it back in. That seemed to work until today. After trying that method several times I still get the F61 error. The local service center wants to charge $25 to just look because "the error doesn't give you a specific answer as to what is wrong with the system. That is why we have to run a diagnostic..." Drives me nuts. Anything to get you in so they can make a buck. And the manufactures make stuff to not last, so they can make more 2 years down the road. Talk about the fleecing of America. By the way have you noticed that you have to turn the volume up higher now then when you first bought the system? Is your cooling fan working? Because mine has stopped. If you find something please let me know. Thanks

dan crozier - 5th Jan 2006 4:25 Hi there--
did you ever get any resolve on this issue (error code F61)?
RE: the fan. I'm told that this fan comes on when the volume is turned up to a higher level. at low levels, it apparently doesn't come on.

Just curious if you found a solution to this issue. I have read that it is a voltage regulator issue and the actual part is in the $15-$20 range. Let me know what you found out if anything. I have the same unit with the same error.
