Re[4]: JVC service or questions

Weird! My 27" JVC has been doing this for months -- started out as white lines that would eventually disappear after the TV had been on for awhile (but immediately return if the TV was turned off and then back on), but now the top 1.5" of the screen is completely black, followed by another 4-5" of lines, then normal picture. I don't think it's the TV tuner per se, because it is present whether watching off the air or from a DVD through S-video (where the tuner isn't involved AFAIK.)

It doesn't look hopeful, but if anyone has a solution for this, please let me know. Seems like more than a coincidence that the only people reporting this problem seem to be 27" JVC owners. :-(
