Hi,
Sorry to hear of your problem. I just today experienced the same problem.
I pushed the eject button and after that received the error message. I'm phoning Nissan to-morrow to see what the problem is. I'll let you know what I find out.
Incidently, the manual says not to play CD-R, CD-RW otherwise they might damage the cd player. If you find out the problem before I do please let me know.

  I'm having the same problem. I have a 2003 Nissan Maxima with a Bose Stereo system. When I load a CD, it gives me the "F3 error message" and will not play. Of course it's out of warranty.

    IM HAVING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM IF U KNOW WHAT IT WAS CAN U PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN FIX IT???
