E20 : Focus Error Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity."
Don't take it to a shop of course they will tell you to replace the radio...always do a internet search first.

Hey Jon,
First, let me thank you for your response, however I have used a CD Cleaner several times to attempt to illeviate the problem. I have also waited for the car to cool down thinking that the heat may be causing some issues. As far as using a new "cleaner" CD. That did not work either.
Again, thanks for the reponse and please let me know if you can come up with any additional information. It may end up that I will have to travel to a salvage yard and pick up a radio from a unit there.
Sincerely,
Amy

Sorry that didn't help Amy I'm sure your also checking the Cd's your using too right? since i have sometimes troubles using burnt cd's in my player or it may be the unit but like ya said the best place to go would be a salvage yard or check ebay at a dealer your looking at 700 + for a new unit.
Thanks
Jon

Okay, I'm aware how dumb this is going to sound, but hear me out. I bought one of these on ebay for a whopping 11 bucks knowing full well it was throwing an e23 error, but hoping that my husband and I could fix it. I researched on the internet, and found the standard " humidity problem" explanation, along with price tags around 150-200 to fix it. So here's what I did... I grabbed a paper towel and folded it really thin so that it would fit in the slot for the cd player.... let the motor grab it and pull it in as far as it would...and kinda wiggled it around in there. (My husband was looking at me like I was out of my mind the whole time.) Guess what...worked like a charm. That's been about 6 months ago, and it still works like a champ. I know it sounds crazy, but I guess I figured I could'nt make it work any less... Anyway, ya might give it a shot, worked out great for me. Good luck!

I am having the same problem. I try to insert a CD into my 1999 Grand Prix and the error Code E20 comes up and ejects the CD. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks, Rich
