Re: SONY ORIGINAL PARTS

I purchased a JVC digital video camera 1 yr ago. It has orange and blue lines vertically on the screen and viewfinder. A picture eventually comes onto the screen if I keep it on for 30 min or so, but the picture is all red in colour. The tech wants to charge $75 just to look at it and he said he may not even be able to fix it. Do you know what could have happened? If so what would be cheaper Repair-new one.
