GR-D90U Problem.
I used the camera for about 1 month when I first got it and then left it unused for about 8 to 10 months plugged in. The battery is still charging and powering the camera. The play function works properlly. However, the record function doesn't. I get a black screen with the focus icon blinking constantly.
I sent JVC an email to see if the camera is still under warranty. I have a feeling that these JVC GR-XX cameras are NO GOOD as this is the 2nd one I've had in the past 3 years. The real kicker is that I really don't use the camera that often and the camera is broken..

You will need to see if your camera is covered under an extended warranty at JVC. If you go to there website, they will have a customer notice with a list of model numbers that are covered under this extended warranty.
Go to

fill out the form and ask to see if they can repair for you at no charge.
