Assistance with JVC product
If anyone has a question regarding a problem with thier JVC product (error codes, safeguard mode etc) write me for troubleshooting assistance. Please provide your model # if available and note this site so I can assist you better.

greetings i am looking for a manual for a JVC GR-SXM250U. I need to turn off the display, but can't find a menu or other button to disable it. it currently shows a tape image in the upper left corner, "TBC" below it and on the right side of screen it shows "SP" and the play arrow with the lapsing time count below it. how do i remove the display of info over the image? thanks.

LInda Ryan - 21st Sep 2005 23:01 I have a JVC KD-G200 car stereo We were able to set the clock previously but when we checked a censor for check engine light the clock displayed the wrong time now we can't reset it please help.

Chris - 11th Dec 2006 19:12 JVC is aware of this problem and will fix it for free. I sent mine in. It has to do with a bad ccd installed on the GRD models. Go to the JVC website for more information about where to send it in.

I used the camera for about 1 month when I first got it and then left it unused for about 8 to 10 months plugged in. The battery is still charging and powering the camera. The play function works properlly. However, the record function doesn't. I get a black screen with the focus icon blinking constantly.
I sent JVC an email to see if the camera is still under warranty. I have a feeling that these JVC GR-XX cameras are NO GOOD as this is the 2nd one I've had in the past 3 years. The real kicker is that I really don't use the camera that often and the camera is broken..

vickie Brooks - 22nd Jun 2006 15:42 My camcorder will record but the picture is black. Do you know what is the problem and where would i get the part to fix it? I have a grandbaby due in a couple of weeks so I need it fixed.

You will need to see if your camera is covered under an extended warranty at JVC. If you go to there website, they will have a customer notice with a list of model numbers that are covered under this extended warranty.

fill out the form and ask to see if they can repair for you at no charge.

A, Pacheco - 23rd Sep 2005 2:01 When I want to see something on my camcorder it reads E03 Unit in Safegaurd Mode and E03 Remove and Reattach Battery? Where is the safegaurd mode on my camcorder?

I have a LCD TV JVC LT-32C50BU that as no image only sound. Do you have any ideas? Is reseting the TV a possibility? It was working fine when i started the configuration and instalation the image disapered and turned black. Thanks, Pedro

my camcorder will not allow me record it tells me that my camera is in safemode and to reattach my battery. What does this mean and why is it happening. I just had a new grandson and would like to record those special moments. I was able to record his birth. But when i tried to watch it, the screen was blurry and we could not view. The model # is GR-SXM260U
