Re: JVC service or questions

I have JvC Xv25cu DVD/VCR combo unit - and recently when playing VHS tapes I get quick glimpses of an empty black box showing on the screen which subsequently disappears in a second or two.

Have I accidentally pressed a feature I shouldn't have or is there something wrong with the unit?

The unit is about 1.5 years old.....
