Re: Error Codes Assistance

I seem to have a similar error as Cal (see below). My Sony TRV340 will, when there is no tape in it, shut. When there is a tape in it, the unit will not accept the tape (ie, it will not shut). I get the eject icon, and code C31:40. Any help would be appreciated. /Franklin

I have the same camera and problem that Mike has. His post was "I have a DCR-TRV340 digital8 sony camcorder. I keep getting error code C:31:40. I've done all it says in the manual. I have been getting often and now it just comes on. I cannot use the tape with it."
