Assistance for Error Codes

If anyone is having any kind of Error code, clean head icon or any other concern, contact me first before assuming you have a problem. My e-mail is Ssample@jvc.com.

I am knowledgeable and have helped many people past their error codes without service. Several things can cause error codes and I would be more than happy to assist you in determining if you do indeed have a problem and what options you have available.

  I seem to have a similar error as Cal (see below). My Sony TRV340 will, when there is no tape in it, shut. When there is a tape in it, the unit will not accept the tape (ie, it will not shut). I get the eject icon, and code C31:40. Any help would be appreciated. /Franklin

  I have the same camera and problem that Mike has. His post was "I have a DCR-TRV340 digital8 sony camcorder. I keep getting error code C:31:40. I've done all it says in the manual. I have been getting often and now it just comes on. I cannot use the tape with it."

  Ahh....my JVC gr-dvl310u keeps eating tapes. Any thoughts? Is this fixable. The camera only has about 15 hours of taping...if that.

  Our Sony UVW 1800 normally runs great. This morning however, we see a new error code not seen before. The code reads: 093-000. The deck is hooked up to an NLE which the software is being re-installed on. This is the only variable from yesterday, and I suspect that the error code has something to do with the status of the NLE. Do you agree? Can you let us know the definition of the error Code?   I have a Sony SLV-960HF and i am getting a 3L 42 AA error code.
  
  Is my VCR doomed? It has already eaten one tape and the sony website is usless.

  my cd player just stopped one day and it says error 1. I can not find out what that means!!! It will read the cd and you can hear it spin but it will just shut off after 5 seconds or so.. Can you help me!

    option a) check your unilateral transponder that is located adjacent to the parallel circuitry system..The transponder should appear opaque in color and warm to touch, occasionally it will "wiggle" a liitle bit, that's O.k..If that doesn't resolve the "error 1" issue...go to option b....option b)upon reading the instruction manual is it at all possible you were reading the manual upside down or possibly in the wrong language???...Maybe..,just maybe....you were reading it both upside down and in the wrong language...that happens alot with the blondes from Alabama...your last option..option c)find your receipt, return it, buy a "sony" ...

    I am having the C31:22 error code all of a sudden as well. Getting the tape to play is now not an option. Just getting it out is a chore. help. c

  I have a Hi8 video camera and unfortunately the tape jammed and there's this beeping sound everytime I turn it on. My husband was able to take the tape out by taking the battery out and putting it back in. Now the problem is we cannot close the part where you put the tape in and the beeping sound is still there. There is also a flashing yellow arrow pointing up while it beeps...What should I do...?Please help!!!
