  -I use a SHARP VL-Z950-S video camera and ran into the same problem.
  -The camera would not play, record, rewind nor fast-forward the tape.
  -When trying to record, E007 appeared in the view finder and side pannal screening and the camera made a ringing tone everytime the record button was pushed.
  -When I took the Sony MiniDV cassette out of the camera, a portion of the tape was sticking out.
  -Has anyone taken their camera to a repair shop for servicing? If so, did you figure out the case of the error?

    My camara does the same thing, I try to record and E007 pops up. It's very annoying because it does it frequently. Now I can't record even without E007. PLEASE HELP!

      I had the camera assessed while in the Philippines and was told that a small part in the camera was either broken or had malfunctioned. Try visiting your local vendor to have the problem assessed as I have not been able to find any information on the company homepage or any other sites regarding this problem.
