Hi, my husband bought me the MX-KB30 for Christmas last year, so it has just fallen out of the warranty period. So it's very frustrating that it has suddenly stopped working properly. It will sit in standby mode, the clock works, the demo program will run, and the timer works. But, when you try to use any of the functional modes (cd, tape, tuner, aux), it starts to boot up ad then immediately runs the "goodbye" banner and shuts down to standby mode. I unplugged the system for a few days hoping it would "reset", but that did not work. The serial # is 169V1429 manuf Nov 04. It is very frustrating and disappointing to think that this product only has a life expectancy of one year, so I hope you can help. Thanks! Pat
