Hi! I hope you can help. My sister-in-law has a JVC model GR-DVL725u and I have tried to help her download images onto her PC (Windows XP). Still photos are no problem, but video is impossible as the computer software (neither Windows Movie Maker nor a second party software) does not recognize that a camera is attached to the PC. This is despite the firewire card functioning properly for download of still photos. Call to JVC not helpful and email not returned. Any suggestions? Thank you very much. Sincerely, Bob Rosenbaum

Hey, I am having a problem when I put the videos on my computer. I have a JVC HDD the product # is GZ-MG21U. When I open the mod files, like i right click on them and chose a program, such as divx or windows media player, the video will play in perfect quality. If I open them any other way, such as I open them with Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 or I drag the file into Divx, it will play but what ever moves, moves in lines. I swiched it from HD to SD that seemed to help but it is still doing it and if you could please help me I have no idea what is wrong with it it makes no sense to me why it is doing this. Thank you.

Hi - I found this through the pechorin's website. I have a JVC GR-D72U and it is not powering up at all. I just recently used the camera for an event and not even an hour later by the time I returned home it did not work. There seems to be no power from the battery nor the plug. Please advise...thank you!
