Re: JVC service or questions

We have a JVC Digital video camera, model number GR-D72U. I have problem when I try to record. At first it tells me that the lense cap is on when it is not. Second I can not see anything on the screen. It has all kinds of ikons on the screen. Lower left hand side a hand, lower middle two arrows going either side pointing to a person like immange on the lefy and castle like image to the righ. Upper left A in a green box, just below that an A with bucket on its side.
Can you help me with what the problem is?

  Yes, it will almost 100% be the CCD failure, however model GR-D72US is on JVC's list of "free" repairs for this particular fault, so that should be checked on.
