Sony VCR SLV-975HF Error Codes Assistance

Dave did you find out what this is? I've been having the same issue for awhile now and it's quite annoying as I still use my SONY VCR regularly.

I also sometimes get a second code. But it's the same thing- Only after I'm in forward or rewind mode, then when I hit play, it freezes up.

  Jeff, Sorry to inform you I was unsuccessful in finding an answer. I have let the machine sit idle with this problem, resigned to the fact I'll have to take it to a service technician. Just hadn't had much need, but was planning to take it in sometime this month. If you discover anything helpful in the next few weeks, let me know.

      I find that if you wait for about an hour the 3L will clear itself. This is driving me (and my wife) round the bend. Should you have any advice I would be most grateful to hear it. Good Luck
