I have a jvc GR-D72 camcorder. It does not 'see' any picture if put to 'A' or 'M'. The LCD screen says the 'Lens cap', but the lens cap is not on.

what is wrong and how much do you estimate for the cost of repair parts+labor?

  OK, but what about if you can't find your receipt and have to pay for the repair. Then how much is it going to run?
