I recently went camping with my family and my friend who is about to leave for college. I decided to videotape our trip for fun. I took my RCA camcorder and it worked fine all week. I've been back for about 3 days and I recently tried to plug my camcorder into the t.v. so I can watch the video. An error message pooped up that says the camcorder is in safeguard mode and i should remove and reattach the battery...which didn't help. I'm nervous because if it's broken my mom will kill me haha. The model number is CC6364 and the serial number is B336JY0GR. Please email me back and help me get this problem fixed. I would really appreciate it. -Brittany Arnett

Ma'am,
I have a GR-DVL320A and I was using it as webcam with a firewire card recently. During one such usage, it suddenly it turned itself off. It wont turn on no matter what. I changed the batteries (both fully charged) and plugged in the charger. I also tried opening the tape deck and the tray refused to come out. The entire piece was behaving dead, as though it had no power. I suspect the power unit has gone off. Is there anything I could possibly do? The service centres in India are known to rip people off. Especially since I bought my piece from singapore.
Thanks, Nikolai

CW - 12th Jul 2006 16:14 Stacy, I have a jvc GR-D72 camcorder. It does not 'see' any picture if put to 'A' or 'M'. The LCD screen says the 'Lens cap', but the lens cap is not on.
what is wrong and how much do you estimate for the cost of repair parts+labor?
Thanks.
CW

Hi,
I have a JVC GR-SXM730U. The camcorder will not play tapes. I checked the tape mechanism and that seems to be working. When a tape is in and play, FF, or rew is selected the tape moves, but the screen is blank and the counter stays on 00.
Any help troubleshooting the problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mark

selma odabasi - 14th Jul 2006 10:51 Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought a battery((SDV-BN-507 7.2V 1300mAh) for JVC video camera from Far East Electronics(545 Orchard Road,#01-17,Far East Shopping Centre,Singapore 238882) on 06.06.2005 during my visit to Singapore. I did not try to use the battery when I was in Singapore. After I came back to my country, Turkey, I tried to use the battery; unfortunately it did not work. Thereupon I went to an authorized service of JVC in Turkey to figure out what the problem was. They said that this battery is out of order and can not be fixed. Since I had been using the other batteries that I already had, I realized this problem late. I have never been able to use the battery since I bought.
I would like to learn how I can change this battery with a new one or alternatively whether I can get my money back. If you could give me some information about what I need to do to solve this problem, I would be so glad.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
