Re: Error Codes Assistance

Hi, I have a Sony home audio receiver (STR-DE897/B) that flashes the error code "Protector". It is an intermittent problem, but lately it has been occuring more often. When this problem occurs, there is no sound from the receiver and it turns itself off. Sometimes by messing with the speaker A/B button or moving the A/C cord, the receiver starts working again. Have you ever encountered this problem before?
