I PURCHASES A JVC GR-DX25EK AND AFTER ABOUT 1 YEAR i GET A "LENS CAP" MESSAGE . OR COURSE THE LENS CAP IS OFF. I HAVE TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON, STILL SAME MESSAGE. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. I CAN PLAY A TAPE THAT WAS RECORDED PRIOR TO THIS USE BUT IF YOU TRY TO RECORD, THE SCREEN STAYS BLACK. IT DOES RECORD SOUND THOUGH. PLEASE HELP

Thankyou very much for your speedy response...unfortunately it doesn't seem that my GR-DX25EK qualifies for a free repair. This is most annoying becuase although I bought the camera about 3 years ago I've only actually used it about 4 times. Thanks anyway you've been very helpful. :-)

Your model "IS" on the list of models that can potentially suffer this manufacturing defect, which yours obviously does!, so unless you are not the original purchaser (or haven't any way of proving it!) your GR-DX25E is applicable for this "free" repair.
