Did you replace the associated resistor(s)? My convergence issue and fix was the same as someone else who posted: It wasn't the IC but the 2.2 ohm power resistor that feeds the IC. 50 cents at Frys, and two wires to solder. Look at the resisters feeding your ICs. See if any look discolored in relation to the others. The resistors on mine were supposed to be tan or grey depending on the resistor. One of the grey 2.2 ohm resistors had a browned/darkened center section. Unsolder it to verify it's dead with an ohm-meter. Make sure you buyt a POWER resistor, not just a regular resistor. I bought a 5 watt- ceramic encased- 5%- 2.2 ohm (NOT 2.2k ohm).
