Re: Error Codes Assistance

I just bought an Sony HVR-M15N deck. I turned it on and when inserting a cassette, the caution light flashed and indicated a message "Reinsert cassette" (with a small eject sign) and an error code C:31:25. I live in Tanzania, and it would mean I have to get this machine back to the US if there is indeed a problem. So I would appreciate any help in trying to solve the problem on my own...

  Take out battery and tape, slap unit a few times. put everything back. it will be ok. i just "fixed" mine that way
