Re[2]: Convergence problems on AV-48WP30

Karen Machnacz Posted Feb 04, 2007, in response to:Eric

I'm having problems with our JVC AV-48WP30 screen TV. I really need help there is green, purle and pink shadowing around the person and around everything else. I went to a convergence screen but can't figure out how to correct the problem, I can move the arrow around but when trying to get the green color or purple color to align, I can't move them. Could you help, I hope this is free service. If there is a charge please don't send any reply and ignore this request. Help...thank you.

Karen There is no charge for advice. But you have to post your e-mail address in order for me to send you instructions. You have a convergence problem and will have to remove the Convergence Out PWB from your TV and replace two IC chips. This will require a desoldering tool and some soldering experience. If you don't feel up to the task, perhaps you can remove the circuit board and take it to a local shop to repair. The Convergence Out PWB is removed from the front of the TV and is very easy to get at. Good Luck, Eric
