Another JVC AV27985 fixed with the Radio Shack cap, 1000uf 35v in C926 slot!
Thanks for the post, I had same symptoms. TV was unplugged for a couple of hours and when I plugged it back in, there was no power to the tv, but the wall outlet sparked indicating power supply was ok.
Total cost: under $20, I had to buy a soldering iron, solder, desolder braid, and the $1.29 capacitor.
