Really hope you can help me out. Have a Sony DCR-DVD405 camcorder. The camcorder is now 1 year old and did not have any problems with it. However today I tried to input a brand new JVC DVD-RW. When inserting the new dvd I get 'Disc error - remove disc C:13:06'.
I asked a friend who has a Sony Camcorder DCR-DVD106 to see whether the disc works. In this camcorder the disc worked just fine. So we formatted the disc with the format 'Video'.

However when trying to insert the now new formatted disc into my camcorder DVD405 I get the message 'Disc error - Remove Disc C:13:02'.

I am bit puzzled as I was able to take an older JVC -RW disc which I used previously. I was able to record on this 'old' disc, could finalize and format without any problems.

So I wonder what is going on. Also I have seen this 'Disc Error' issue seems to be a wide spread one.
