Re: Sony DSC-S40 white LCD screen problem

I'm another one who had the problem, in Thailand this time, with my daughter's camera. It's a nice little camera which takes good pictures but the LCD problem started after about 18 months.

It was great to find the solution here. It worked fine temporarily but the problem would recur after a while. Maybe I wasn't hitting it hard enough!!

Anyway, if it keeps coming back, there's a link to a permanent solution around somewhere (maybe in the middle of all these pages? - but I haven't been through them again). I wasn't going to open it up myself, but my brother-in-law has some camera knowledge and just followed the instructions. It took about 10 minutes and wasn't complicated for someone who has some basic knowledge of the inside of a camera.
