We have a Panasonic VHS/DVD recorder/player, DMR-ES46V. It's been great until tonight. We came home and the display was blank. We pressed the on button and it displayed a U61 readout. It will not successfully complete a turn on sequence or change format. The time readout is correct and matches our atomic clock. We have just been through a very difficult heat wave. Temps indoor were up to 98 degrees. Today though was much better. We're clueless. As of now we have left the recorder video output #6 which plays and displays all tapes and DVD's and are using just the cable/satellite video output #1. Thanks much for any thoughts you may offer.
