I AM AN AUTHORIZED SONY CENTER CAMCORDER TECHNICIAN WANTING TO HELP OTHER TECHS IN REPAIRING CAMERAS.ALSO WILL HELP OTHERS FIND - RESEARCH PART NUMBERS- OR ORDER SONY PARTS FOR OTHERS.

  LOOKING FOR A VHS TAPE THAT WILL HOLD A 8MM VIDEOCASSETTE TAPE FROM A SONY HANDYCAM MODEL # CCD-F70. THE RECORDER NO LONGER WORKS AND WE WOULD LOVE TO VIEW THE TAPES.

  I need to open my camcorder to replace firewire socket. I need help in dismantling it. I like to know if removing left side would be sufficient to get to the socket or do I have to remove Right and front as well.

  slide cover from floppy disc got stuck inside camera, i got it out but now all discs prompt format error [ c 13:01 ] the troubleshooting info for this # does not fix the problem could something inside be misaligned? thanx

  I have a Sony DCR TRV130 NTSC with a
  defective power section on the main
  circuit board. Is this repairable or
  is replacing the board the best route?
  I live on the big island of Hawaii and
  acquiring parts for sony is not as easy
  as it used to be. Their warehouse on
  Oahu is not as well stocked as it used
  to be.
