  I have a ccd-f70 camcorder which the cassette door does not open and the batteries don't seem to hold a charge when I try to charge them. Can you give me information about finding a sony authorized service center, or am I just wasting my time. Is the unit too old too fix? Are parts still available for this model? Would I be better off just buying a new camcorder?Any information you can provide would be helpful.

    YES UNFORTUNALLY THE CCDF70 IS A LITTLE TO OLD.LEAKING SURFACE MOUNT CAPACITORS IN THIS UNIT ARE COMMON.CORRODING BOARDS AND CAUSING ALL SORTS OF PROBLEM.IF YOU NEED SONY CAMERA REPAIR FOR NEWER MODEL.I WORK AT SONY AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER IN SAN ANTONIO,TEXAS.BUT ALSO I AM DOING SONY CAMERA REPAIR AT MY RESIDENCE THRU EBAY POST ITEM .PLEASE VISIT EBAY AND SEARCH UNDER (SONY CAMERA REPAIR) THANKS

  I have a Sony Digital Camcorder model # DCR-TRV27 that needs the 2 logic boards. A Sony dealer said that both need replacement. I'm a computer tech, so I opened the camcorder and even wrote the numbers on the boards, they look ok, but the camcorder won't turn on. This is a mother-daugher board configuration, can you help me find the right ones and were can I buy them?

  I'm not sure if I'm talking to the right person for this, but i have a Sony MDX 8900R minidisc car head unit, and a CDX 45 10 disc changer. the head unit works perfectly, and the changer does too - when controlled by my old sony cassette player unit. The bus cable fits both units, but the md head unit won't operate the changer. does anyone know of any kind of converter to fix this problem, or is there any rewiring i can do to either unit to make them compatible?

  I have a Sony DCR PC5e Mini DV Camcorder!
  The Problem is the Cam takes no cassette on!the pit remains outside..But when i make it without the cassette the pit drives in!
  i think it is the loadingmotor-driver!? or not!?

  Hello,
  I have a Sonr DCR-TRV27 Camcorder. I dropped it and a car ran over it! The camera is still working but the screen is broken. I purchased another 'dead' camcorder on ebay and would like to try to swap the screens. Any one has a service manual or schematics ?

    hey if everything else works and the screen needs to be swaped.you shouldnt need service manual. lcd swap is not that difficult.goodluck

  My Trinatron model KV-M2170U has the picture collapsed to an horizontal line. I have found R814 o/c. Can this be the cause? If so does anyone know what its value should be? its discoloured. colour bands can't be read.

  I have a Sony Mavica CD-400 that was working fine one day, was plugged in over-night to the battery charger/AC Adapter, and then would not work on battery power the next morning. The batteries are full charged and work nicely in a second CD-400 we had available. The camera works nicely with the battery removed and the AC Adapter plugged in.
  I live in San Antonio and am looking for a Sony Authorized repair center for this camera. Can you help me?
