  I have a sony hi8 pro ccd-v5000, it now goes from color to b&w back and forth. any suggestions or estimated cost of repair would be greatly appreciated

  hello, i have a older 8mm sony camcorder with 64x zoom and the power slider doesdnt move so i cannot turn it on to take video, can i fix this myself witht he right parts, what part do i need, thank you for any help seth please email me the answer

  I have a Sony DCR-HC21. The power will not go on and I cannot eject my tape. I was filming when the power suddenly turned off and will not go back on with battery or being plugged in. I tried powering off and removing the battery as was suggested and worked for others, but nothing happened. I need to get my tape safely out of the camcorder before I send it in to be fixed. What can I do? As I was writing this I shook the camera a bit and I hear a slight rattling sound like something may be loose inside???? Any ideas???

    I have the same headphones. The problem is in resoldering the new connector. When you strip back the black cover on the wire, it looks like there are only 2 conductors: red and green. Where is the ground wire? Is it easier to order the coiled cord from sony and replace the whole assembly? John
