I own a sony minidisc mds-je510,A disc got jammed in the load mechanism it sounded like it stripped the plastic gears in it.I took it apart to get it to release the disc,In the process did more damage.I ordered a part from Sears they called it the slide assy.I thought it was the whole unit that screws to the base of the cabinet with 4 screws and two ribbons going to the circuit board.anyway what I recieved was the top of the unit which explained the low cost of the piece.What I need is the whole unit with the laser pickup and all.Can you find it?

My son left a Sony WM-FS495 after leaving home. I put batteries in it and got it to play a cassette and I was able to set the time. I have no idea how to make it work any further. I used to work for a Sony Parts Distributer but have lost all my contacts. Is the owners manual available for this or can you or someone teach me how to operate. I'm looking for a lcd screen for my mvc cd250....will other mavica models fit? or are they model specific...if i have to buy new ,,where can i find one?

I have a Sony STR-DE725. It has been working fine up until today, when I powered it on - the unit powers up, the LED's come on, but the screen on the front remains blank, and no audio will come through the speakers. Any suggestions? If this is a known problem and a particular part needs to be replaced, I would love to know about it. Thanks
