  I recently purchased a 1978 house, an found an empty place where a Nutone Master used to fit. The house is wired and has several speakers, however, I don't really know what type of master to purchase, I am hoping you can help. The master box had the info in the lower right hand corner: IM-203, IM 203DK, 303, 323, 406. The intercom speakers have 6 separate wires going to them and have 4 buttons: Inside/patio speakers - Talk/Listen and Door Speakers - Talk/Listen Push buttons on them with a volume knob in the right hand corner. I have 5 speakers with 4 of them being intercom, one patio speaker. I also have a door speaker.
  
  Can you give me any guidance or do you need additional info.

    You have a IM406 system.The master has not been produced since 1983.

      Do you have any replacement master units for the IM406 or IM or IMA4006. Or do you repair them. It turns on and off. Thanks

    Would it be possible for you to send me a picture of this unit? The current unit that I have in my house which I just purchased is model number I M 406 From the information that I've gathered so far it seems to be a six wire system. It has an a.m. FM radio intercom system combination. I checked for power it does have power coming into the unit however it only makes a few clicking noises. Let me know if your unit would be a direct replacement.

  I'm looking to replace the cover (plate) only on my NuTone IM4006 unit. This plate includes the intercom system, with radio and tape player function. In the alternative, I would also consider a smaller plate to replace this larger plate (and then have half the hole in the wall repaired).

    I presently have nutone music intercom ima 4006 series. I would like to know if there is cd replacement unit with cd player,if so will I have to replace the rough in kit? this system has a ribbon type wiring system can I still use it?     Not without rewiring your house! Try plugging a CD player with a low level output into your auxillary RCA jack inside your IM3003 and mounting the CD player on a shelf near the unit.

  The house is equipped with a NuTone IM-4406 unit. All of the functions work but CDs refuse to play. The previous owner left no operating manual.

    yes, I bought a house that had a IMA 4460 intercom, and the CD player doesnt work either. Previous owners, didnt leave a manual either. I think its broken, and am trying to find out HOW to get it fixed. J

    I also have a Model im-4406 series itercom system. I purchsased it 7 years ago in my new home hardley used and the cd portion of the master componet dosen't work...any suggestions. I see that you offer a series IMA4406 is that the same $726.00. or is the im4406 cheaper. Thanks...Happy New Year

    Try cleaning the heads in the CD player. I had the same issue with mine. I bought a cleaning CD at Walmart and ran it a few times in the IM-4406. It works fine now. Good Luck

  We built our house 10 years ago and a Nutone intercom and music system was installed with an AM/FM radio,clock, and cassette player. We are lokking to update it with a CD player in place of the cassette or in addition to it. Can you provide any information on this? The intercom is the IMA-4006 series.   I have a Nutone Radio Intercom System - model IMA-4006 series. I am looking for the outside speakers that come with this system as one doesn't work at all.
  Any suggestions on where I could find the same? Thanks. Also, can I buy speakers that come with the updated models? Would that be compatible?

    All the speakers with the current IM4406 model are compatable with your IM4006 model.Your patio is now an IS449 and inside speakers are IS445s. If you can't find them notify us through our website www.ricksnutone.com and maybe we can help.

  I have an older Nutone bathroom fan model QT-80-B, used with a qt-80,-110A unit. The plastic squirrel cage impeller has cracked and worn and no longer spins. Everything else, including the motor, works fine. Is there a way I can get the plastic impeller? It is gray colored, about 6 3/8 in diameter and 2 inches deep. No visible part number.
  
  I could also use a new rubberseal between the fan box and the exhaust pipe. This seal is/was about 4 inches in diameter.

    My Nutone QT-80-B bathroom exhaust fan stopped working. The motor doesn't turn. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can get a replacement motor (or unit). My ceiling is tiled so I want to keep the existing unit so I won't have to rework the ceiling opening. Thanks, Jim
