  I bought a 30 year old home with a Nu Tone music intercom system, model 2065. The system works, but I would like to update the faceplates. Are they available for master station and speakers?

    i have a house about 33yrs old with nutone intercom system the radio has started making a loud buzzing sound.please help! i'm sure it needs to be updated.i dont know the model #.thanks for any help you can provide.

      I have an old tube Nutone intercom and it started buzzing too. But only after I installed a dimmer elsewhere in the house. Check and make sure all your dimmers are off and see if that helps.

    I have Nutone Radio intercom Model IM 406. The radio will come and go, When the radio is not working there is a pulsating sound.

  I have a 9 year old Broan KW 400 series intercom master that has recently failed that measures 8 inches in width and is 16 inches long. It has these numbers on the back (KWHCT40X 99701176 and it takes a 9701177 transformer. I would like to know what the replacement until model is and price as well as the possibility of forwarding the original for repair or tradein.
  Please respond at your ealiest convenience as without the intercom----everyone is starting to yell!!!

  Have an 80's nutone scovill that has a constant hum at the main box. Chimes work, but not intercom to door bell??? Have scematic? board marked "IK15". Thanks.

  THE DOOR BELL JUST STOP WORKING. IS IT SHORT WIRE SOMEWHERE OR IS THERE ANY INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO FIX IT. THANKS

    Make it 3! I too have this problem now. Button is still lighted and two way communication through intercom system is working fine too. It is just the chime that has gone bad. Any suggestions? Thanks!

      I have the same problem and I had someone hold down the outside door button. I could hear a clicking in the speakers and I noticed smoke coming out of the 37821-1A board - the one that has a place where the chime plugs in. It is called "chime out". On the diode and chip side the board has the following number 37821-2B. I an going over to radio shack and see if they have a board. If not then I will order one on line. Will let you know what happens.

      Our Nutone Doorbell stopped working (it is 15 years old) so my husband just unscrewed the doorbell button (outside) and scraped off the rust on the screws that hold the eletrical wires to the back of the button device. And guess what?! The doorbell works again!

    I had this problem and just unplugged the line going to the door intercom and replugged it. It started working. I suspect that the plug was crudded up. Has anyone solved the humming problem on the IM-3003?

  We recently bought a home that has a 3003 Nutone which is not working. It is mounted on a mirrored wall so I'd like to know if the IM3303 has the same measurements so it can be replaced with that model and inserted in the same place. Also, will the wiring be consistent with the updated model.

    i have the same question. my 3003 is not working. the chime module is smoked and the volumn on the sterio is very quiet. i would like to upgrade to a 3303 or even the 4600 something model please let me know if i can do this with the wiring i already have thank you

      Todd, It is likely that your chime board has been zapped with an electrical surge causing it to default into the mute mode. The mute mode is designed to turn down your radio when the doorbell rings so that you can hear it. If the mute mode is always on, then your radio will be very quiet--even when noone is pressing the door bell. The good news is that it is an easy fix: If you can forgoe having a door bell, simply remove the master panel and disconnet the 4-band wire from the system. The radio/music will return to its normal volume and you will have no doorbell. You can check for vendors in your area to acquire and replace the chime board. Once received and installed, your system should work like new. Good luck. Also, if you happen to have already upgraded this sytem, please let me know, I would be interested in acquiring your old 3003 master station for parts. I need several. Thanks again.     i have bought a home with the nutone system. i don't know which serie. but it does have the am&fm radio incom system threw out the house and at one time it had an 8 track player. also the turn tale for 45's work. my QUESTION is can you get part's from the company ? do anyone service the united or how about upgrading to a cd player? help in Va.

  We have a Nutone Music Intercom 3003 in our home. The intercom and music work but the doorbell is dead. When I put a screwdriver across the connections at the back of the doorbell button nothing happened - not even a spark? Is there a fuse for the bell? What else can you suggest?

    Open the master station and jump across the chime module connections upper right as you are standing if it works your wiring to the button is bad if it dosen't the chime module is bad

    I request a system wiring diagram also. The intercom works ok but the door chime output is very low. I suspect that the former owner was experimenting with this unit. Thanks WLP
