Error Codes Assistance

Assistance for Error Codes

If anyone is having any kind of Error code, clean head icon or any other concern, contact me first before assuming you have a problem. My e-mail is Ssample@jvc.com.

I am knowledgeable and have helped many people past their error codes without service. Several things can cause error codes and I would be more than happy to assist you in determining if you do indeed have a problem and what options you have available.

Please refer to this site if you contact me. Thank you.

I am trying to clean the heads on my TRV 340 and whenever I put the head cleaner in and turn it on I get the beeping sound/eject icon and the C:31:42 error. Can you tell me what that means. It does not occur when a regular tape is in, but I need to get the heads cleaned. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Kathy

    Hi Stacy,

I'm having a problem with my Sony DCR-TRV5E camcorder. It keeps giving the error code c:31:40
According to the manual I should be able to fix this problem myself. Have no clue, any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Jan

I have a Sony DSR-25 DV-Deck. I put a tape in and suddenly an error happened: C3142. I shut it off, and now theerror I get is the following: C3211. Sometimes I can't shut it off w/o removing the power cable.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,

YES - I've had problems for quite some time. It seems that it has something to do with the motor since the error occurs when the tape has been completely used and you want to finish recording on the tape after it is stopped or you want to rewind. It has chewed up the tape once or twice. Can you help?
