Hi, I have a jvc gy dv500u camera. Unfortunately, I am unable to turn it on. The camera was idle for sometime. The lithium battery was dead, but just replaced. I had read in the manual that the camera may not restart after the lithium battery dies. Also, the original battery pack was removed and replaced by a anton bauer. However, the anton bauer mount was transferred to another camera so the camera sat shelved without a battery housing nor any battery life. I had tried to power the camera with the power adapter to no avail. I tried re-attaching the original battery housing (without the battery), then plugged the power cable also to no avail. The batteries were placed on a charger but wouldn't hold a charge. So the batteries were never seated on the camera due to fear of low voltage. The camera will not turn on. Does the battery need to be seated for the power adapter to turn the camera on? Does the power adapter need to see the battery for the power to turn on? Any suggestions you can provide will be soo incredibly appreciated. Sincerely, Roy Kwalk

A while back my JVC Camcorder stopped working. It would come on for one or two seconds then go off. I replaced the battery twice. Now after about a year of just sitting in the case I got it back out. It will power on but all I get is a blank white screen,(in the record and play modes) I put it in play mode and I can tell the rewind and FFW function is working, I can hear it. But all I get is a white screen. Can you help?

i have a jvc gr-d72u and recently it had a message that said the lens cap was on, although it was off. it was only recording only sound no picture. then today i decided to see if i could somehow get the "menu" to appear, and couldn't but somehow pressed the a.dub key (and a couple of others on the remote) and somehow the picture started to record again. any ideas on what exactly i did to fix this problem? i read a few other sites that people were having the same problem with thier jvc's camcorders and said that they did not have any idea how to fix it. the camcorder is a few years old, but is rarely used. thanks- dee shuemaker

My stereo is JVC HX-D7. I have a few different numbers, I'm not sure which one is the model. I have CA-HXD7 and also, 2300251487 & 7327XD7. The stereo worked fine yesterday, today when we went to use it, it says protect and we have unhooked and unplugged every wire and still nothing has worked. Spoke with the JVC customer service number and they told us to send it in. Do you have any suggestions as to why this happened and what we can do to fix it. I really appreciate your help. Also, I have some DVD's and CD's in the system that I am unable to get out.
