    What a great site!!

I bought a refurb GR-DVL820U late last year. I didn't need it until this spring so all I did was power it on, record for a few seconds, and set it aside. Now I need it, but the power cycles off-on-off-on. It runs no more than 60 seconds before cycling, blinking off just for an instant, then on again. Does the same whether on freshly charged battery or AC adapter, with or without tape, record, playback, or just idling. No bad smell or other symptoms that I've noticed.

This is my first bad experience with a factory refurb product, but it has me kicking myself for not making sure it really worked when I got it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I hate to throw more money at it because I could keep using the old Sony Hi8 for free.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi,

My 18 month old JVC DV camcorder has the "condensation operation paused" error. The camera has never been used/exposed to damp conditions. The error won't go away even after 1 week leaving the camera open in a warm dry environment.

I note from the internet this appears to be a common problem with JVC camcorders - any insight from in curing the problem much appreciated.

    best regards,
    Adrian

I have a JVC GR-D70U DV Camera with a "lens cap" message with a black screen. I have read alot of other people the same problem with the JVC cameras. The camera is just out of the warranty period with very low usage. I am assuming that the CCD is bad. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Well it seems I have this problem also. Just happened this weekend at a wedding, one moment it was working fine, the next I get a message saying the lens cap is on (which it isn't). Sometimes it does work in a dimm;y lit room, but outside nothing. Has anybody have an idea about the repair and how much $$$

My friend has a problem with her JVC MX GT700. It works fine except for the CD player. Basically, it will no longer recognize that the disks are in the machine. I cleaned it a week ago with lens cleaner and that fixed the problem for a week and now it is again not reading the disk leaving me to believe maybe it wasn't the lens giving the problem but who knows?

Is there some way to fix this problem? Could there be a different type of problem . Help:(

    Thank you

My friend has a JVC MX GT700. Recently the CD player on the machine will no longer recognize that the disks are in the machine. I cleaned the lens with some lens cleaner and that fixed the problem for a week. But yet again it no longer recognizes that there is a disk in the machine.

Is there some way to fix this problem, could it be some other type of connection problem? Help:(

    Thanks
