This what ELIER wrote on 2/19/05, and basically I am having the same problem.
I only have about 6 hours of taping in 1-1/2 year with this camera and no one else has handled the camera but myself.

    Can you help, please.

I have a JVC GR-D30 model. I could not get picture in any operation mode. I can replay back and record but only record sound no picture is taken. When I turn the camera on I get the "lens cap" message. After a while a low contrast warning message appears and stays on. I reset the camera and still does it.

THIS BELOW WILL NOT APPLY IN MY CASE

A friend of mine use a USB cable to donwload some image to his ilife in his powerbook. I was not present therefore I could not tell what he did.

    Thank you

Our JVC television Model # AV-27F703 will not completely shut off. It goes into a mode where there is no sound and then you have to hit the remote power button 3 times before it will go into a "hibernating" mose. There is still power surging through the tv and it is never completely off.

    How do I fix this?

    Thank you!

I have a JVC VHS-C Gr-AX220 vedio compack camera. When I turn on the play buttom on the camera, it comes on for a second or two then shuts off. I've recharged the battery and even bought a new charger, but to no avail. What could be wrong with my camcorder. Where do I go to have repaired in Georgia. I live on the east side of Atlanta. Thanks, Marty

The Phone Number to get your nearest Authorized JVC Service Center for repairs is: 1-800-537-5722, Option 3. You put in your zip-code and it will give you the nearest center. The nearest one to me is 1500 Lake Parkway. Florenceville, GA. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with my JVC camcorder. the local JVC repair dealer was honest enough to tell me it would cost asmuch to fix as to get a new one. I bought a new one and within a year had the same problem. comes on for a second or two and shuts off. this happens even when its plugged into the adapter. I wonder how common this problem is with JVC camcorders.

JVC mod. GRSXM730U. No output from camera to computer. Had computer checked and was told that the trouble was in the camcorder. Also selector switch is physically broken (play-A-M). Can you advise me?

    Thank you

I have JVC GR D30U, and that condensation message will not go away. What can I do myself to fix it? (I've already left it wide open and anything should be dried out if that was the problem- but it never got wet in the first place, so I have no idea what caused this problem.) I wil not be spending half the original cost to get it repaired by someone else. I just need instructions, please

    Thanks,
    E

    I have a av-32730 (manufactured in 1997)
television that just given me its first
problem after many years of reliable service.
The on timer button is illuminating on and
off about every second synchronized with a
clicking sound coming from the tv. If I
hold the menu button and the power button
down simultaneously the blinking on timer
button and the clicking sound frequency
is cut down to about every 4-5 seconds. Please
    help, thanks!

This inquiry is about the JVC digital video camera model GR-DVL520.
It simply stopped working, and now will not power on with the adapter or a new battery.
