I have a JVC home stereo model HX-D7 that goes into a "protection" mode and shuts down. I've researched this problem for quite some time and can't find out what I need to do to fix it. The screen flashes "Protect" and then shuts down within seconds. It seems as though many people are having this problem with this unit. If you have any idea as to what to do, please help!! Irritated owner, Jacob

Hi, I have just replaced my old JVC GR-DV1E with a new camera since it stopped recording however it is still doing playback. According to the servicecenter it was better to get a new camera because of the repair cost and camera age. Personally I am curious about the inners of this JVC and have tried to find a way to dismantle it. I can't find a logical way so I assume it is either a hidden method or the camera is just difficult to service. The latter I find not very plausable. Do you have any disassemble starttip for the JVC GR-DV1? Brgds Bo

I can't record and see things so of course when i play it back theres nothing but voices i hear the screen is just blue. Can you help me fix this problem? Thank you very much!

Hello, I have had a JVC DR-MH30 DVD recorder for just over two years. The problem I have is that when I try to record using the Record and Play buttons the machine is not responding but has no problem when I do timer recordings. Also I am unable to open the disc tray either by the remote control or by the button on the machine. I hope you can help me. Thank You, John

I have a 50" Plasma -- PD50X795. I bought a floor sample and let it sit for quite some time before I connected it. After I got it set up the TV was playing fine for about a month but it had a humming noie that I thought was loud by comparison with my regular old tv. Anyway, all of a sudden, the picture went bad and I smelled an electrical burning type smell. I think the smell was coming from the tv instead of the receiver, which is a separate box. The picture had black lines in the lower left quardrant that went half-way up the screen. It seems that we are getting some noise also; You can see the rest of the picture but it is not clear. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!! Freddie (jii_freddie@hotmail.com)

Stacy, I have a JVC 12 CD changer with my JVC in dash car stereo. The CD's only plays on one speaker. The radio works fine through both speakers. Once in a while, the CD's will play on both speakers and quickly the one speaker fades away. Could the unit just need cleaning or should I just replace it. Could it be a loose connection? Sorry, I don't have the unit serial numbers or model numbers right now, just found this site and thought I would ask. Respectfully, Michael Rosenberg
