I have a JVC GR-D22. Everytime I turn on the camcorder it gives me "E04 eject and reinsert tape/unit in safeguard mode". However I was not even able to unload the tape. I detached the battery and put it back on, but nothing happened. I can not unload the tape. Please help me with this? Thanks a lot.

Stacey, can you advise on a "lens cap " error message on JVC GR-D20 camcorder approx 24 months old. error message goes away after about 5 flashes or so, then it just has a black screen. Play back works fine, only black when in record mode. Record sound fine, but no image. Please help.

I have an GR-AXM230 that is a few years old now. My problem is similar to everyone elses. When I switch my camcorder on, I get the E03 "Unit in Safeguard Mode". It comes up instantly every time I switch it on. I, however, do not have a problem with the tape ejecting. That part works fine. Can you help?? Thanks Greg

Hi Stacy, I have a JVC mini dv camcorder model# GR-D90US. Everything works, but I do not receive a picture(view-finder nor LCD windows). When I switch to the modes, Manual/Auto, it says lens cap is on when there's no cap on the lens. What's your opinion?

I am selling on EBAY a JVC Digital Camcorder that needs repair. It is still under warranty for parts, but not labor. I thought you might be interested in this item. It is item number 7554722107 on EBAY. Thanks, Bob Hitt

I have a JVC GR-D30U camcorder showing the E04 error code. The tape will not eject. Even if I disconnect it from it's power source for 30 mins and then try to eject it will not. What can I do?

I have a GR-D90U and it was working untill I plugged it into a universal power supply. The camcorder uses 11v and once i plugged it into the power supply (dumb idea, it did seem dumb at the moment) it went dead and now will not come on. When I tested the power supply with a volt meter it was putting out 15v no matter what the setting was. Was wanting to know if they have a fuse or something to keep it from frying the board. any help would be great. just dont tell me that I am stuppid I already know that.
