The error code C:31:22 appears when I turn the camcorder on,with or without a tape in it.I changed the battery & the tape, but the problem remains the same.I also pushed the reset button but...nothing has changed

    Hello,

We have a Sony Handycam CCD TRV328 which keeps giving us a message to hook up the power source. We have hooked up the power source, removed the battery and everything else we can think of. Our main problem with the camera is that we can not remove the tape that is in the camera. It will not let us rewind, tape or anything. It is stuck. We hit the eject button and the tape removal process does not move. WE have pushed the reset button in the screen case area but that doesn't seem to do anything either.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Deb

I had the same problem. Online it says to unplug the power, take off the battery let it set for 60 seconds and try again, or try whacking it. I tried the unplugging power etc and that didn't work, I didn't try whacking though. It finally got fixed by prying, breaking the tape and using a knife to help the release button. It still records but it occassionally makes a little noise upon starting sometimes.
