Hi,
You recently replied positively to the following (from another person):
"I think the flash has gone out on my DSC-P8 camera, is there anyway I can get another?"
I'm in the same boat -- the camera's fine except for the flash (I think I can
see a crack in the little flashtube -- not likely to be a feature!).
Camera's not under warrantee -- in fact it was a gift from Sony.
I'm reasonably technically minded, so if I had the part, I could probably
replace it (I suppose I should be careful what I claim before actually opening
up the camera).
Your thoughts?
Paul

Michelle - 14th Dec 2006 0:20 I have the same problem with my DSC-P8 - the flash is broken. Could you please tell me how to get another flash. I'm sure I could also fix it myself if necessary. Anything is better than the pictures I'm getting now and the external flashes are too expensive for this outdated camera.
Thanks in advance!
Michelle

Sean - 28th Apr 2006 0:24 I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-V1 and it is having problems. It won't charge up. The charger connection feels "loose", so I'm not sure if its that or the battery.
Does this connection go bad on this model? Anybody else experience this?
Thanks!
Sean

I haven't seen this on this model assuming the battery is good.
If you send it to me, I should be able to find out what's wrong.

jay - 30th Sep 2006 15:09 I am having the same problem with my DSC-V1. Has anyone sent the camera out for repair? I was wondering if it could possibly be the charger. I don't want to waste my money on a new charger if that won't solve the problem. Any info on this problem and the solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have a similar problem with my DSC V1. When connected to the power source, it works just fine! the moment you disconnect it, the camera won't even go on! Have you managed to fix your problem? Any suggestions on who might be the right person for such repairs?
Thanks,
Romilla.

Xaveri - 4th May 2006 7:23 Hello. I have a Sony DSC-F717 that has a problem charging batteries. The cammera works fine as long as it is connected to the wall, it turns on and everything. But if I turn it off, the charge button wont light up and it wont charge the battery.
I believe that the cammera is not having contact with the battery, or maybe the whole battery charging system is busted. Have you encountered this problem before? How much would it cost to repair this type of problem ( An estimate, you dont have to be specific)? Is it in the $100s, $200s?
