I have a Sony DSC-P5 model camera, and after taking a picture, instead of showing the picture then going back to normal, the LCD screen just shut off along with everything else. I can't seem to get it to turn on again, and I am wondering if I need to get it repaired, or if it is possible the batterie just died out, seeing how the camera is at the least 4 years old. However, it did say the battery was full before taking the picture.

When a battery is bad, it actually shows full charge when charged, but discharges quickly. I suggest to try it with known good battery or just buy a new one. If that still doesn't help, please get back to me.

I have had this problem with my dsc-p5 also. I have 3 different batteries (2 sony and 1 energizer). I get about 3 pictures before the low battery light blinks and shuts off. But I can turn the camera on and take 3 more pictures..., this continues until I turn the camera on and it shuts off immediately or I can't turn the camera on. I have a battery charger that I stopped using because I thought it might not be charging the batteries properly so I have been charging the batteries in the camera but still have the same result. I find it hard to believe that I have 3 bad batteries. I have also heard that this is a documented problem with this camera but can't seem it find any info. when I google. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I love this camera but have been looking into getting a new one, wish I didn't have to though. Thanks!

My internal flash on my Sony Mavica MVC-CD400/CD250 has not worked for at least a year. Everything else runs beautifully. How much would you estimate a repair for the flash? Would my purchasing an external flash for the camera be more cost efficient, and would that work if the other flash does not?

There should be external flashes available for this model. But whether external or internal flash is a better option depends on personal preference. The price will be about the same in both cases. Please reply by email if interested.

I have a mvc-cd250 and the charge light flashes when I put it on charge.
I bought a new battery and it still flashes.
What could be the problem? Is it fixable? How much?

I had my Sony Mavica CD-350 get wet on a rainy day. I have dried it out but continue to get a dew error. Is it possible to fix the sensor for this problem and how much might it cost?

My Sony DSC-S70 lcd screen shows what looks like an inverted white V, with the actual image behind it. It seems that the camera works ok, other than the display.

I am interested in getting this repaired if the repair cost is significantly less than the cost of a replacement.

What do you charge for repairs?

Alex, I need some one to help me with my camera. It is a MVC-CD400 camera. It will not turn-on with the battery but it will only work with the A/C Power. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks. Dave Seehra
