I have a 27" jvc flat screen tv model av-27f703. I purchased this set in may of 03. it was very seldom used until the other day when i turned it on and nothing happened except for the red on timer led started to blink. this is a problem mentioned in the troubleshooting section of the instruction book. is this a common problem and is it worth fixing,because i'm sure you know in about a year you will need a box for analog tv's. thank's alot t milligan

I am missing selections on the Initial Setup menu. I can no longer turn on the component input selection because the option is no longer there. Also the option to turn off closed caption has disappeared. They were there at on time but have disappeared. How do you reset the JVC AV-32F704 unit back to the factory reset condition as it was the first time I plugged it in? Unplugging does not work.

I Have a JVC DR-MV1S DVD/Vidio Combination player 3years old, Every thing works okay mechanicaly cooling fan operates except the unit electrically cuts out after 1hr after switching on, this time has reduced to around ten mins since changing the fuse although the original(tested)was not found blown, but did notice on the fuse board a slight blackness around the small heatsink as if something is getting hot causing the unit to cut out. This morning my Samsung LCD HDTV and JVC DR-MV1S both went off while I was viewing a tape I had recorded in another VCR. The TV & JVC unit immediately came back on but "Loading" began flashing on the JVC's dispalay. In about 1 minute or less, the tape began playing again without any input from me. Later on I burned a CD on my computer and tried to play it in the JVC unit. I opened the DVD tray & inserted the CD(it might have been blank). The display showed "NOW READING". Nothing else happened so I tried to remove the CD but the tray would not open. I then turned off the power to the JVC unit by shutting off the TripLite surge protector all my electronics are plugged into(TV, cable box, JVC unit). I then turned the power back on and the display on the JVC flashed "Loading". This finally went away and was replaced by "Hello". I can't turn the unit off, I can't open the DVD tray or set the DVD timer. The VCR side seems to be OK. I contracted JVC tech support and the technician advised me to turn the unit off which I did again but I'm getting the same thing. I saw your post on Pechorin's site so I hope you can be of some help. The JVC tech guy advised that if it's a loading problem, the unit will be repaired at no charge but if it's another problem, I will be advised of the charge for the repair and the unit has to be sent to Georgia. I live in New Jersey and bought a used JVC AV27920 that was manufactured in August 1998 two years ago from a television repair store and it works fine. I want to buy a PAL Format DVD movie from Australia that is Region free and want to know before I do if it will play correctly on my JVC AV27920 TV? I emailed the seller and he told me to check the manual, which I don't have, to see if my TV supports the PAL format. Will this DVD play on my JVC AV27920 TV? Can you help me? Please email me.
