Its a nice initiative.
Hello, Im facing a probs with my JVC handy cam. I bought it from UK abt 20 months back. Problems:
1. Zoom switch is not working properly( As I feel that inner carbon has gone out of order from my past exprience). [Problem started since 1 yr back] If I'm trying to zooming any object then it can't focus the zoom on that, its comming back when I'm leaving the Manual Zoom Switch.
2. This problem started since 3 months back. When I turn on my camera the cant view anything in LCD Display/view finder. Its comming some abstract thing of the real Image. After sometimes gradually its becomming okay and after 30 mins again the same problem happening.(I asked about this problem with a technician and he replied its called CCD problem)
So please do inform me with the best solution for above mentioned problems. I am using the Mini DV tape(JVC D 270, may be coz I'll write you with model number)
Thanking you

Took it with awesome care, whats the point? Only used indoors... And it still.. kaput? I want my money back......

Ron Snelgrove - 31st Aug 2005 0:55 I have a JVC television (model AV32FA44, 32" tube from the i'Art line, less than two years old) that has:
*recently been shutting itself off (sometime after being on for a few minutes, other times for a few hours),
*the power/standby (green) LED flashes
*the only way to "solve" this problem is to unplug it and plug it back in
*today, there is no video, just audio (the TV did make a sharp snapping sound when I first turned it on).
Regards, Ron Snelgrove

hi there
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
N. Shambare - 15th Mar 2006 14:12 Were you able to solve your problem? I have a similar problem with the same model.
- Re[3]: JVC service or questions
Ron Snelgrove - 15th Mar 2006 23:38 I ended up having the television repaired. It was at the shop for about 5 weeks (apparently JVC Canada is _really_ slow in shipping parts to repair shops).
This is the information that I received from the repair shop.
The technician ended up replacing (all prices in Canadian dollars)
* 2 capacitors (part number "XZCAP", $9.00 each)
* 1 integrated circuit (part number "XZIC", $12.50), and
* 1 transistor (part number DTC124EKA-X, 571234, $6.45).
Apparently the transistor received too much voltage and, of course, blew,
and took the other parts with it. The tech told me that it was highly
unlikely that the blown transistor was due to a line-surge, as the internal
fuse was still intact.
The total bill was $255.25 (with $39 in parts, that leaves about $216 for
the service call, labour, delivery charge, taxes for two levels of
government).
I hope that this helps, and good luck with your television.
