JVC service or questions

Assistance with JVC product

If anyone has a question regarding a problem with thier JVC product (error codes, safeguard mode etc) write me for troubleshooting assistance. Please provide your model # if available and note this site so I can assist you better.

  A perfectly shaped black rectangle appeared on the bottom half of the screen on the TV after it is turned on for a few seconds. Does not take up all the bottom of the screen. It will go away for a few seconds when you hit the mute button but then return again. I checked out the sat. receiver and it is not it. Any suggestions?

  JVC GRV-DM0 miniDV video cam always displays error 04 remove battery or cleaning required. unit has been cleaned but error code still exists when I want to record.

    Im having the same convergence problem on my JVC AV48WP30 TV, The rede is horribly off and I cant even line up anymore

      rob i have service coming next tuesday because i have the same problem. i set the convergence and the next day i have to re-align them again. tracy

  Model GR-D90U was plugged into outlet when a thunderstorm passed through our area. The next day when I went to use the unit nothing would work. Doesn\'t turn on, won\'t eject tape, totally dead. I checked the voltage at the plug on the charger and it reads 11.4volts. I checked the voltage between the + and - on the battery and it reads 7.4volts. Any ideas?

  Problem with GR-DVP3U.
  The LCD began turning off if the LCD was opened more than about 30 degrees (normally, you can open it a full 90 degrees and it stays on; only going off when fully closed at 0 degrees). Now, the LCD will not come on at all. My guess is that the cable that connects the LCD to the camera has come loose or has gone bad. What do you think? Is this something consumer-replacable? If it needs to be serviced, how much and how long? Many thanks!!

    Same problem here on my AV-27920 - JVC says simply that it "requires service", however the set displays picture and audio (for the 3 seconds) just fine. I\'d love to get a reply to this question.

  Hi Stacy... my name is daniel. ilive in Ireland . i bought a jvc gr-dx25ek camcodrderabout 14 months ago for my holidays in austin texas funny enough.
  havent used it sine then , went to use it the other day and all im getting is
  "in safegaurd mode" EO1. any ideas ?

  recorded on a few tapes, played back OK, recorded 2 more, went to check second and when playback mode only blue screen. tried new tape tested playback OK. Finished all recording then could not playback any. Kept trying different tapes, finally used tape cleaner 3 times and then got message e04 safeguard mode. Model is JVc DVL300
