HI, I\'M A PURCHASING AGENT FOR ADVANCED AUDIO VIDEO A CUSTOM HOME THEATER DEALER, RETAILER AND COMERCIAL A/V INSTALLER. WE ARE EITHER A DIRECT DEALER OR BUY ALL OUR PRODUCT THROUGH DISTRIBUTORSHIP (PANASONIC, JVC, TOSHIBA, FUJITSU, ONKYO/INTEGRA....IN OTHER WORDS NOT A LITTLE TRUNK-SLAMMING COMPANY). ANYWAY I BOUGHT A JVC HRXVC20 VCR/DVD COMBO FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT IN NOV 03 FROM HAMBURG BROS. (DIST.) IN PITTSBURGH, PA. AND AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE DVD PLAYER. SO I GOT THE NAME OF A AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER IN MY AREA AND TOOK THE UNIT IN (PARTS ARE STILL COVERED, LABOR IS NOT), I THEN GET A CALL FOR THE LABOR ESTIMATE FOR $125.00 ($40.00 OF THIS I ALREADY GAVE AS A DEPOSIT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF). NOW I PAID LESS THAN THIS WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW SO I OBVIOUSLY DON\'T WANT TO PAY THIS MUCH. SO I HAVE THE PART # AND CONTACTED LARRY MARCUM (DIRECTOR OF CONSUMER SALES OH,MI,IND AND KY) WHO I MET AT CEDIA THIS YEAR AND HE GIVES ME CEDRIC CEMEL WHO IS IN THE CHICAGO OFFICE IN THE SERVICE DEPT. AND HE CANT HELP ME. SO I AM TRYING TO GET A PART (X-A2C512K650) COVERED UNDER WARRANTY WITHOUT BEING A SERVICE CENTER. PLEASE HELP! THANKS FOR LISTENING.
