My JVC DVL520U will not eject it's Mini DV tape. I can hear the motor trying to do so but it seems something is caught. Do you have instuctions on what needs to be unscrewed to release the tape arm? Thanks in advance for your help. Jake

I have a JVC MX-J30 which will not play a tape in either the A or B slot. With the cover off i can see that the tape head comes up to touch the tape on the installed cassette, then reverses off again without ever starting the tape drive. I get a "No Tape" message if I press the Dubbing or Record buttons. It's as if it can not detect the presence of a tape cassette. I note there are some small contacts (2 sets) which close when the top of the cassette is in the correct position - could these be oxidised or is there something else I should investigate. I have a jvc camcorder model no gr-sxm 260u although it is a few years old it has not been used that much. my problem is that when i turn it on to record something it says remove the lens cap when the cap has already been removed then in the right hand corner of the screen there are two symbles blinking on and off. this problem seem to happen after i was watching a little bit of a video i made, when i switched over to record mode the problem was there can you help me on this. I have JVC Digital Video Camera Model GR-DVL210A. Now sometimes Play does not work. It displays blank cassette indication. Some times while recording it displays safemode and suggest to remove and put battery. I tried with cleaning cassette to clean heads and problem still exists.
