I have a JVC GR-AXM230 camcorder and it's about 3yrs old but hardly used. I just replaced the battery with a Radio Shack Cat. # 23-381 6v 1600mah battery. I allowed it to charge and the camera was working fine. Now it eats the tapes even if I'm using the power cord without the battery. But before replacing the battery the unit was working fine except for the original slim battery was charging up but then stop working within 5 minutes. Have you ever heard of these problems and if so are there any fixes.

I have a JVC GR-DX77U and the zoom keeps engaging when I turn the camera on. It zooms all the way in like it is stuck. I back it out and it starts right back. The battery also runsdown quickly while the camera is turned off. Thanks, Terry

I have a 27" JVC (AV-27320) and the picture has become extremely dark no matter how high i turn the bright up. Any suggestions, or is this just going to cost an arm and a leg to get fixed? Also, IF i have to take it somewhere... any suggestions for NC?

WE HAVE A JVC 32 INCH TV, ABOUT 6 YRS OLD. IT COMES ON AT 9:00 EVERY EVENING. ALSO IT WILL SWITCH CHANNELS IF YOU ARE WATCHING IT. TO THE SAME CHANNEL EVERY NIGHT. WE HAVE WENT THROUGH ALL THE PROGRAMS AND NOTHING SEEM TO BE SET. WE UNPLUGGED ALL THE VCR AND DVD PLAYERS AND IT IS JUST PLUGGED TO CABLE, AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING... HELP

I bought a JVC Camcorder (model# GR-SXM260U) on Feb. 2004. The last time I used it was about two months ago. Today when I tried to record, a message comes out on the screen... EO3 unit on safegaurd mode remove battery and than to reattach battery back again, I do that but still does not work. What can I do to fix this problem? thanks

I have a relatively new JVC television that has developed a problem that I can't seem to fix. The black background box that is used as contrast for the different on screen adjustments and settings is now on the screen full time but it's just the black background. I can turn the black contrast background off by changing the setting to clear, but as soon as the setting times out the blank opaque black rectangle re apppears on the screen. It will go off briefly but this seems to be getting less frequent. Help, it's ruining the Olympics. Thanks,Tom

Hi, I have JVC SVHS S9600EU video. the problem is that if the TV station is tuned, there is a picture on the monitor, but no sound. If you play the tape or plug in the other source, audio is OK. I have a JVC Digital Video Camera (Model # GR-DVL120U). The display screen that flips out does not show a picture. It only has a white screen. I could still view through the eye piece until today. If I push it to PLAY mode, I see only black through the eye piece. If I flip it to "A" in order to record, it gives me the E04 IN Safeguard Mode error. How can I repair this?
